Three special features of River of Life

There are almost 100 leaves on the front of the River banner.  We used 3 different colours of green and a rotary cutter to make them.  The centre lines and edges are sealed with glitter fabric paint and then they were just fastened at the top so they flutter as the banner is processed.

The shape under the gold fabric is made from a piece of paneling.  The green fabric is glued directly to the paneling and a short crossbar is attached at the back, above the green under the flowing gold. The crown was made from plastic needlepoint canvas and it simply sits on the squared off top of the paneling.

The nets for the fish was made from gold netting that was folded over and then creased into the hem to make it stand out from the banner.  The edges of the fish were sealed with fabric paint.
