Three special features of Send Your Rain

Send your rain -special features

The wheat in the fields was made from paint, braided ribbon or beading depending on how much in the forefront we wanted them to look.

The people in the forefront were edged with sequins as opposed to those in the rear who were edged with paint.

This banner is quite small so the lettering did not need to be large.  A simple cording with sequins running either side of it sufficed.. The design was drawn onto a piece of paper and slipped under a translucent plastic sheet.  The cording was glued to the sheet with hot melt glue and allowed to cool in that position.  Then the sequins were applied to either side of the cording and when it had completely cooled they were peeled off the plastic sheet. The completed letter was glued in our usual fashion.  The raindrops on the banner came with the fabric… we found veiling that had plastic dots all over it.  Two layers provided enough raindrops for the final effect.
