This banner comes from the passages about the River of Life in Revelation 22 and Ezekiel 47. The top has a crown and gold fabric symbolizing the throne room in heaven. The River flows from the throne, gradually becoming wider towards the bottom of the banner. The River is flanked on either side by many leaves from the ‘Tree of Life’. There are jewels interspersed within the leaves to represent the fruit that is produced every month on the Tree. At the mouth of the River are some fish in the water and nets spread to bring in the catch. (Ezekiel 47: 9-10) When this banner is moved during worship the leaves flutter, providing an ‘alive feel’ to the fabric. The verses on the back of this banner are Rev 22:1-2. Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life… flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb… On each side of the river stood the tree of life… and the leaves are for the healing of the nations. |
