You have been given the authority to set yourself free!

Good morning.

We have all felt stuck at different times in our lives. Sometimes it’s a job, a city or a relationship that we are stuck in. Today I want to talk about being stuck on the inside. It’s when you feel stuck with thought patterns you can’t change or habits you can’t break. It’s that frustrated feeling you get when life seems to always be an uphill struggle.

If you recall, in previous letters I’ve talked about the three parts of humans (body, personality and spirit) and the corresponding three links in the chain of emotional bondage (mental health disorders, personality injury and spiritual attack). All three of these links can contribute to the feeling of being stuck.

If you have depression it will be hard to shut off negative thoughts. If you were always told as a child how bad you were, it will be very hard to have any self confidence as an adult. Spiritual attack can keep you stuck too. Satan doesn’t like you and he wants to influence your thoughts so life will be a frustrating struggle.

The unseen world is more real

When Jesus walked the earth he taught us that the unseen spiritual world was more real and more influential than the seen world. That’s why he was always talking about the heart and spirit of man rather than the social, economic and political issues of his day. Jesus explained how man could escape from the control and domination of Satan by entering the Kingdom of God. Satan considered this to be an invasion of his territory so there were frequent direct conflicts between the two kingdoms.

The good news is that Jesus won every confrontation with darkness. He did that to demonstrate to us that his authority was supreme. Before returning to Heaven, Jesus made it clear that we were to continue his work of rescuing mankind from Satan’s kingdom. He knew that spiritual conflicts would take place, so through the Cross, he gave us his authority to push back the forces of darkness. How do you use authority?

How can you have victory over the harassment of Satan? I needed answers to those questions myself so I investigated and discovered how the power of Jesus’ authority can be released through our prayers. I put everything I learned about authority prayers into the CD/DVD Freedom Now.
