Grant makes the whole area of inner healing so accessible. He wonderfully manages to combine medicine, counselling and inner healing ministry so that we get a much better understanding on helping people with mental and emotional disorders. This area can be shrouded in mystery and language which makes it very hard for people to find freedom. But after Grant has got us laughing at ourselves he leads us through very simple steps to help us get a release. We are going to use his DVD teachings to help people start a process of healing in this area.

Dr Mullen, I attended your conference in Australia.
I found your presentations to be excellent and invested in all the DVD's you had at the conference. I work in the community for our church. I was walking my staff through the DVD's. The community people who as yet have not committed their lives to Jesus have asked to watch these too. They love them and are finding them very beneficial. A lot of these people have mental health issues, some are recovering from drug and alcohol abuse others from other issues. Thank you for such a clear presentation on issues we all face day to day.

I am a lady aged 78 years, my daughter had attended your seminar and bought your DVD's. I watched the one entitled Fear - When Trust Is Lost. What a relief to finally understand the root cause of all my anxiety and panic attacks. For over 50 years I have struggled with my fears and anxieties (all resulting from our experiences during the German occupation of Holland) in every aspect of my life. The DVD so simply brought everything into focus and understanding. After prayer ministry I am working on turning around lifetime behaviour patterns but I am free from the debilitating attacks that constantly plagued my everyday activities and lifestyle. My husband states that watching just one DVD has done me the power of good and strengthened my faith. Thank you so much.

Dear Dr. Mullen,
One Monday bible study, my friend asked us if we would like to watch one of your DVD's that she had purchased at your seminar a couple of weeks earlier. After looking at the various titles I thought the one on Negative Words was the least threatening of the lot and a safe one as far as I was concerned. After a giggle or two at the cartoon pictures, it suddenly struck me that this was "getting under my skin" and needing some serious thought and personal examination. By the end of the DVD I was in inner turmoil - many things I hadn't considered were ringing bells and patterns of behaviour were starting to take on a new light. I went home quietly saying what a nice DVD it was and that I had enjoyed it. My friend knew it had touched a raw nerve and over the next few days gently encouraged me and listened and helped me through it all. It has made such a difference to me. I plan on seeing the other DVD'S but will take them slowly - there was so much to sort out and get rid of just from this one alone. Praise God because another farther reaching outcome has been the restoration of seriously strained family relationships with our children.

With Dr. Grant Mullen, God has blessed the Church with a physician and mental health specialist who understands the spiritual side of a person, as well as physical and emotional. Grant and his wife, Kathy ministered powerfully in a weekend conference in our church and presented a unique message that every church needs to hear. Grant is an excellent teacher with an engaging style that is understandable to the layperson, as well as humorous and easy to follow. He is Biblically sound, open to the free working of the Holy Spirit and together, he and Kathy present a message that is real and transparent. We look forward to having them here again!

Thank you for the wonderful sessions at the conference. I was deeply moved. I am currently taking Zoloft for depression, and have been for numerous years now. The taboo of being a Christian and suffering from Depression has been a real struggle. So many people, as you stated have told me to 'suck it up, rely on God, have more faith,' that it was enough to drive me into a deeper depression! When you can not think logically, and you "know" what you need to do but are physically and mentally unable to do so the burden is heavy. It lightens my heart to know that people can now be informed that yes you can live your life for God and suffer from a mental illness at the same time.
So again thank you! God Bless!!
We really appreciated the ministry of Dr. Grant and Kathy Mullen at Christian Assembly. We have received many positive comments and the balanced approach of ministry to body, soul and spirit is so needed in the Body of Christ. Keep up the good work.
We were blessed by the ministry of Dr. Grant Mullen at our recent ‘Be Whole’ Conference in Ottawa. The conference was designed to minister to the spiritual, physical and emotional elements of each individual’s life.
The Holy Spirit’s manifest presence was evident as Dr. Mullen, in his disarming and delightful style, provided valuable and biblically sound truths relating to healing of emotional and mental issues. As a healing evangelist, I was particularly gratified to see the ease with which individuals received physical healing after having been released from the bondage of emotional pain. The testimonies of breakthrough that resulted attested to my firm belief that ‘wholeness’ occurs when individuals experience God’s miracle-working power in all three elements: spirit, mind and body.
After seeing the invaluable benefit Dr. Mullen’s ministry, combined with our emphasis on physical healing, I look forward to any future opportunities the Lord might present, when we could further apply these vital elements of ministry together.
Here in Australia it is estimated that one person in five suffers from various forms of serious depression. It's probably similar in other Western countries. With the deinstitutionalisation of mental health facilities and the crisis of health funding in general with the aging of our population increasingly as a church we are being confronted with the necessity of becoming surrogate care providers for people with mental and emotional issues.
Recently we hosted a seminar by Dr Grant and Kathy Mullen. We had heard of their expertise from some of our people who attended one of their seminars
in North America. We were overwhelmed with the response of people who wantedto attend from across a broad spectrum of the church. We have never had such a "successful" seminar. Our people uniformly reported a significant lift in their understanding and how they should minister. Others who suffer from depression were also greatly helped and a number of people accepted Christ for the first time. The Mullens were also wonderfully flexible, generous and amongst the easiest people with whom our staff have worked.
I unreservedly commend them for your consideration.
Thank you for coming and ministering in our church so powerfully.
We were all so blessed by your powerful presentation of emotional challenges in the life of a believer.
We have had some great results. In one cell group alone, two members
who
had
previously been counselled to seek medical help but had kept putting it
off,
suddenly after attending the conference and hearing your teaching
decided to visit their G.P. where they are now getting the medical help
they so needed.
I think for many what the teaching did was expose the issues and in many
cases remove the shame making it much more acceptable to ask for help
having recognised their need.
I would like to say to any pastor or church, please don't be afraid to
expose your church to Dr.Grant Mullen's teaching. His teaching is
professional and
thoroughly bibical and will bring your church into a much healthier
place in their christian walk.
We were privileged to have Dr. Grant Mullen and his wife Kathy for their
"Breaking Free" Seminar.
Because Dr. Mullen specializes in the medical treatment of depression,
anxiety and other mood disorders, we found his message highly
informative,
practical and well-balanced. His emphasis is on the treatment of the
triune being of mankind, body, soul, and spirit. He also explained how
to
effectively use his
simple diagnostic tools.
With a lifetime of experience in the church, Dr. Grant & Kathy brought
their
own personal encounters that conveyed transparency, warmth and truth.
The audience was composed of pastors, professionals, and lay people who
felt
they had learned a great deal from Dr. Mullen and his wife in an easy to
hear message because it was peppered with light-heartened humor, yet
profoundly insightful and academic. Listening to these sensitive
topics was
entertaining and non-threatening and opened up easily to participate in
corporate prayer ministry.
Their powerpoint slides where very creative and it truly added to the
presentation with more power and impact of the lessons.
Dr. Mullen's explanations seemed to have a believability that there is
no
shame attached to the Christians' decisions to take medication if
prescribed
by a
doctor. The feedback from those in attendance all expressed gratitude
and
want him back again.
We were privileged to attend the Wellington seminar in January We had known of Dr. Mullen through his videos and were keen to hear him first hand present his teachings on Understanding Depression… We were not disappointed and along with hundreds of others had our understanding and appreciation of this most prevalent human condition widened and deepened. Since January Sandra and I have been hosting a 6 week DVD study course at our home using the materials produced by Grant Our first course was fully subscribed to the limit of our house and we have a second one commencing in July. Those attending all reported on how much the teachings and insights really assisted them.
I found Grant Mullen’s seminar very helpful and well balanced. He deals with
all the contributing factors of depression (Spiritual, Emotional, Physical). I would recommend Grant and his ministry to all Christians, not only to those who suffer depression, or supports those who suffer depression, but to the whole church to gain a more professional and Christian understanding of such a common illness in our communities.
My wife and I had the opportunity to attend a seminar of Dr.Grant Mullen. We found it to be the most functional and practical teaching we have ever encountered in this regard. Never before has anybody been able to relate the body (physical), soul (personality) and the spirit in such a way that you could take it home and apply the principles in practice…. And see the fruit of it within days. Absolutely to be recommended for every person!
Dr. Mullen’s seminar on Depression and related problems has been invaluable
to me in my pastoral role as it has given me an insight into the need for the physical/medical components to be addressed alongside the spiritual and emotional issues. His deep knowledge of the subject and his sensitive presentation helped clear much of the confusion and misunderstandings that surround the topic and gave me useful tools for recognising when someone is
suffering from depression or similar problems and addressing them appropriately.
I was very impressed with Dr Mullen's knowledgeable and insightful yet easy to understand, practical explanations of what can be complex medical health issues when dealing with people affected by a mood disorder. Then, as a priest I appreciated the way he applied spiritual understanding to the physical, mental and emotional dimensions of a person to ensure a holistic approach to healing and well-being. If you plan to attend any "health and healing" seminar in the near future make it this one!"
I thoroughly enjoyed Dr. Mullen’s Depression workshop. He has a unique sense of homor and the ability to make complex issues look so easy. Grant managed to combine a Biblical and medical approach in a very practical way. I benefited from the workshop professionally and spiritually.
